Special School District No. 1, Minneapolis may permanently transfer up to $2,000,000 from its community education reserve fund balance to its undesignated general fund on June 30, 2018.

Transferred funds must be used exclusively for school support services, including mental health services.

The district must abide by its board's fund balance policy when making the transfer, unless funds are transferred for an eligible use under Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.18.

The provision is effective the day following final enactment.
