Increases the threshold for replacement teachers and faculty members to qualify as public employees from 30 working days to 60 working days of employment

Applies to school districts and the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (excluding the Twin Cities metropolitan area university)

Replacement employees must be filling in for an absent teacher or faculty member who is a public employee

Effective date is July 1, 2017

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 179A.03, subdivision 14
