Amends Minnesota Statutes section 120A.41 to allow school districts to adopt policies for innovative delivery of instruction when inclement weather or other uncontrollable factors interfere with normal school operations

Maintains existing minimum instruction hour requirements: 425 hours for kindergarten, 935 hours for grades 1-6, and 1,020 hours for grades 7-12

Maintains existing minimum of 165 instructional days for grades 1-11, unless a four-day week schedule has been approved by the commissioner

Requires districts that adopt innovative instruction policies to make the policy publicly available on their website at the beginning of each school year

Effective for the 2017-2018 school year and later
