Department of Education must establish a process for teachers to submit curricula aligned to language arts, mathematics, or science standards and benchmarks for review and best practices sharing.

Review teams consisting of Tier 3 and 4 licensed teachers in the relevant subject area must evaluate submitted curricula, with the department publicizing the submission process in conjunction with stakeholders.

Model curricula selected by the review team must be posted on the Department of Education's website or linked from stakeholder websites by January 1, 2020, with a disclaimer that selections are examples aligned to standards but not department endorsements.

Department may pay stipends to review team members and teachers whose curricula are selected for sharing, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis using only appropriated funds.

General fund appropriations from the Department of Education are authorized for fiscal years 2020 and 2021 for stipends and information technology costs, with information technology costs ending in 2021.
