School districts must allow students to possess and apply topical sunscreen products during the school day, while on school property, or at school-sponsored events without requiring a prescription, physician's note, or other health care professional documentation.

School districts may adopt policies related to student sunscreen possession and use consistent with this requirement.

School personnel are not required to provide sunscreen or assist students in applying sunscreen.
