Amends Minnesota Statutes section 120B.125 to add skilled trades careers as an education and career option that students must have access to within their personal learning plans.

Amends Minnesota Statutes section 121A.39 to allow school counselors to consult with the Department of Labor and Industry to identify resources for students interested in exploring high-wage, high-demand occupations in skilled trades.

Allows school districts to provide representatives of organizations promoting careers in skilled trades the same access to secondary school students as provided to institutions of higher education.

Requires personal learning plans to help students access education and career options, including careers in skilled trades, as part of transition planning to postsecondary education and employment.
