Possessing, storing, or keeping a firearm at a polling place is a felony punishable by up to five years imprisonment or a fine of up to $10,000, or both.

Using or brandishing a replica firearm or BB gun at a polling place is a gross misdemeanor; possessing, storing, or keeping such weapons is a misdemeanor.

Carrying a firearm on or about one's person at a polling place is a misdemeanor, even for persons with permits to carry firearms, though such firearms are not subject to forfeiture.

Active licensed peace officers and on-duty military personnel or students performing official military duties are exempt from these prohibitions.

The prohibition applies to absentee balloting locations as well as traditional polling places, with an effective date of August 1, 2019.
