• School boards must not establish a start time before 8:30 a.m. for secondary schools in the district.

• School boards must not establish a school transportation schedule with a bus pickup time before 7:00 a.m. for elementary school students in the district.

• Amends Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 120A.41 regarding school year length, hours of instruction, and school start times.

• The requirements are effective for the 2021-2022 school year and later.
