Amends Minnesota Statutes section 152.36 to modify the composition and structure of the task force on medical cannabis therapeutic research.

Separates the representation of adult consumers and parents of minor patients into distinct membership categories: 4 members representing adult consumers or patients, and 2 members who are parents of patients under age 18.

Maintains task force membership of 23 total members including legislators, healthcare providers, law enforcement representatives, substance use disorder treatment providers, and state commissioners.

Requires the task force to conduct ongoing impact assessments of medical cannabis use and report findings annually to legislative committees regarding program problems, patient access, and affordability issues by July 1 each year.

Establishes that the task force does not expire and shall continue to meet at least once per calendar year.
