HF 2547 Summary

• Requires city and county governing bodies to issue intoxicating malt liquor licenses to persons already holding off-sale licenses for 3.2 percent malt liquor.

• Prohibits issuance of intoxicating malt liquor licenses in areas where such sales are already prohibited under Minnesota Statutes section 340A.412, subdivision 4.

• Exempts licenses issued under this provision from certain restrictions in sections 340A.412, subdivision 3, and 340A.413, subdivision 5.

• Amends Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 340A.403, by adding a new subdivision 2a.
