Changes terminology throughout Minnesota Statutes Chapter 147C from "respiratory care practitioner" to "respiratory therapist" to align with current professional standards.

Modifies licensure requirements to accept certified or registered respiratory therapist credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care or other board-approved organizations as valid qualifications for initial licensure and renewal.

Establishes that applicants for renewal after July 1, 2020, must maintain a valid and current certified or registered respiratory therapist credential or other entry or advanced level respiratory therapy designation.

Renames the advisory council from "Respiratory Care Practitioner Advisory Council" to "Respiratory Care Therapy Advisory Council" and clarifies its membership composition and duties.

Changes the title of Minnesota Statutes Chapter 147C from "Respiratory Care Practitioners" to "Respiratory Therapists."
