HF3106 Summary

• Establishes a 16-member Standardized Assessment Task Force appointed by the commissioner of education to recommend changes to Minnesota's standardized assessment system to make it more meaningful, reliable, and useful for schools, students, and families.

• Requires the task force to review statewide assessments, state and federal accountability requirements, assessments in other states, and Department of Education testing practices while considering student non-participation rates, school district costs, data usage at multiple levels, and achievement gap identification.
