Expands pharmacist authority to administer intramuscular and subcutaneous drugs for treatment of alcohol or opioid dependence under a prescription drug order.

Permits pharmacists to administer intramuscular and subcutaneous drugs to treat mental illnesses either upon prescriber order with post-administration notification or pursuant to a protocol or collaborative practice agreement.

Requires documentation of any drug therapy changes in the patient's medical record or reporting to a practitioner responsible for the patient's care.

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2019 Supplement, section 151.01, subdivision 27, defining the expanded scope of pharmacy practice.
