• School districts must provide parents of enrolled students notice of contracts or agreements with third parties for staff development activities or training.

• Notice requirements apply to all agreements, including those that do not require the district to spend district revenue on the staff development activity or training.

• Notice must identify the third party providing the staff development and describe the purpose of the activity or training.

• Districts may comply by providing one annual notice to parents that covers all staff development contracts or agreements rather than sending individual notices.

• Charter schools must comply with the same staff development contract notice requirements applicable to regular school districts under Minnesota Statutes section 122A.60, subdivision 5.
