Adds covenants, conditions, or restrictions created by a declaration or other instrument required by a government entity related to affordable housing to the list of exemptions from the 30-year expiration rule under Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 500.20, subdivision 2a.

Affordable housing covenants required by government entities are now exempt from automatically expiring after 30 years, allowing them to remain valid and enforceable indefinitely.

This exemption is added as clause (8) to the existing list of covenants that do not expire under the 30-year rule, including condominiums, cooperatives, and common interest communities.
