Removes prohibition on nursing facility settings from receiving medical education and research costs funding under Minnesota Statutes section 62J.692.

Strikes language that stated "Training that occurs in nursing facility settings is not eligible for funding under this section" from the definition of "Eligible trainee FTE's."

Makes nursing facility training sites eligible for funding if they meet other requirements including active medical assistance enrollment status, a National Provider Identification (NPI) number, and training funded in part by patient care revenues.

Effective July 1, 2020, or upon federal approval, whichever is later, with the commissioner of health required to notify the revisor of statutes when federal approval is obtained.
