Appropriates $2,700,000 from the clean water fund in fiscal year 2021 to the University of Minnesota Board of Regents to study water's role in transporting chronic wasting disease prions.

Requires study to identify mechanisms for accumulation, persistence, and spread of chronic wasting disease prions through waterways and characterize prion abundance downstream of infected regions.

Directs modeling and forecasting of chronic wasting disease contamination spread based on landscape ecology and hydrology, and development of remediation strategies for contaminated waterways.

Requires Board of Regents to submit study results report to legislative committees with environment and natural resources jurisdiction by January 15, 2022.

Designates appropriation as onetime funding available through June 30, 2022.
