Persons in farm households who have been served a mediation notice under chapter 583 become eligible for MinnesotaCare without regard to income limits.

Farm household members with incomes exceeding 200 percent of federal poverty guidelines pay a flat individual premium of $100 per month, while children age 20 and younger are exempt from premiums.

Children age 20 and younger in all MinnesotaCare households continue to be exempt from premium payments.

An unspecified amount from the health care access fund is appropriated in fiscal year 2021 to the commissioner of human services to provide state-only funded MinnesotaCare coverage to eligible farm households.
