School districts and charter schools must provide every student in their final year of high school and the student's parent or guardian with information about state and federal financial aid programs.

Information must cover both need-based and merit-based financial aid programs available to support postsecondary education and training.

School districts and charter schools must ensure each student receives adequate support in completing and submitting a financial aid application.

Information must be provided using resources from the commissioners of education and higher education.

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 120B.02, by adding subdivision 4.
