Amends Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 126C.44 to expand the allowed uses of the safe schools levy, which may be levied up to $36 per adjusted pupil unit.

Adds purchasing, installing, and maintaining vapor detection devices as an authorized use of safe schools levy funds.

Adds voluntary opt-in suicide prevention tools as an authorized safety measure that may be funded through the levy.

Allows intermediate school districts to include safe schools activity costs authorized under the amended section, up to $15 times the adjusted pupil units of member districts.

Effective July 1, 2020.
