Amends Minnesota Statutes section 326B.36, subdivision 7 to clarify exemptions from State Building Code inspections for electrical installations, materials, and equipment

Exempts installations owned or leased by employers whose maintenance electricians are exempt from licensing when performing electrical maintenance work as defined by rule

Exempts utility-owned or leased equipment used exclusively for generation, transformation, distribution, transmission, load control, or metering of electric current, or railway signal operations, when generally accessible only to utility employees or authorized persons

Exempts street lighting operations and outdoor area lights owned and operated by electrical utilities that are connected directly to their distribution systems and located on utility poles

Exempts installations in facilities subject to federal Mine Safety and Health Act jurisdiction and elevator installations inspected by certified elevator inspectors under National Electrical Code Article 620 standards
