Amends Minnesota Statutes section 308A.201, subdivision 12 to authorize rural electric cooperatives to provide broadband service using existing easements they own, hold, or use.

Existing easements do not limit the type, size, or amount of broadband infrastructure that may be used, and cooperatives are not required to obtain additional easements or pay additional compensation to property owners.

Allows cooperatives to provide broadband service on behalf of themselves, their subsidiaries, or business partners.

Defines "broadband service" as any service providing advanced telecommunications capability and Internet access, and references existing definition of "broadband infrastructure" in section 116J.394.

Becomes effective the day following final enactment.
