Prohibits school districts from adopting names, symbols, or images depicting American Indian tribes, individuals, customs, or traditions as mascots, nicknames, logos, letterheads, or team names.

Allows school districts to request exemptions by submitting a written request to the Tribal Nations Education Committee and the Indian Affairs Council, which must jointly approve any exemption.

Extends the same prohibition and exemption process to charter schools by amending charter school compliance requirements.

Applies the prohibition to public postsecondary institutions, with the same exemption process available through the Tribal Nations Education Committee and the Indian Affairs Council.
