HF 4458 Summary

• Adds developing and maintaining state cross-country-ski trails as an eligible use of fees from cross-country-ski passes, in addition to existing grants-in-aid and program administration.

• Authorizes funding for state cross-country-ski trail development and maintenance through the cross-country-ski account in the natural resources fund when appropriated by law.

• Modifies the Parks and Trails Management appropriation in Laws 2019, First Special Session chapter 4 by reducing total funding from $90,858,000 to $88,194,000 across fiscal years 2020 and 2021.

• Eliminates a previous appropriation of $116,000 per year from the cross-country-ski account for grooming and maintaining trails in state parks and recreation areas.

• Makes all amendments effective retroactively from July 1, 2019.
