Minor party or independent candidates for partisan office may pay a $100 fee in place of filing a nominating petition, paid by the candidate or party at the time of filing the affidavit of candidacy for elections held on or before December 31, 2020.

Nominating petitions and petitions in place of filing fees may be signed electronically consistent with Minnesota Statutes chapter 325L for elections held on or before December 31, 2020.

Political parties may pay a $100 fee in place of filing a minor political party recognition nominating petition at any time before the close of filing for the state partisan primary ballot, effective the day following enactment and expiring June 3, 2020.

Minor political party recognition nominating petitions may be signed electronically consistent with Minnesota Statutes chapter 325L, effective the day following enactment and expiring June 3, 2020.
