Amends Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 177.24, subdivision 3 to establish exceptions to the gratuity sharing prohibition.

Exempts situations where more than one direct service employee provides service to a customer or customers in events such as banquets, cocktail and food service combinations, allowing customer gratuities to be divided among the direct service employees involved.

Exempts food halls with multiple vendors and direct service providers operating under one point of sale checkout from the gratuity sharing prohibition.

Maintains existing protections that gratuities are the sole property of employees and prohibits employers from requiring contribution or sharing of gratuities, except for limited employer functions like safeguarding and disbursing shared gratuities upon employee request.
