Requires Minnesota high school students to complete at least one-half credit in a personal finance course as a graduation requirement.

Reduces the minimum number of elective credits required for graduation from seven to six and one-half credits to accommodate the new personal finance requirement.

Applies to students beginning 9th grade in the 2020-2021 school year and later.

Maintains all existing graduation requirements in language arts (4 credits), mathematics (3 credits plus algebra I by 8th grade), science (3 credits), social studies (3.5 credits), and arts (1 credit).
