Amends Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 241.026 to revise formal statement procedures for correctional officers at state and local correctional facilities.

Requires a written complaint signed by the complainant to be filed before an officer's formal statement may be taken, and the officer and exclusive representative must receive a summary of allegations.

Grants correctional officers the right to have a union representative or attorney present during formal statement sessions, with the right to request such presence at any time before or during questioning.

Requires investigating agencies and officers to provide witness lists, witness statements, and investigative reports upon request, except confidential informant identities need not be disclosed without good cause shown by the hearing officer.

Mandates formal statement sessions be recorded electronically, with complete copies or transcripts provided to the officer and exclusive representative without charge, and prohibits retaliation against officers for exercising rights under this section.
