S.F. No. 1019 - Outdoor Heritage Fund Appropriations

• Appropriates $127,505,000 for fiscal year 2020 and $565,000 for fiscal year 2021 from the outdoor heritage fund for land acquisition, restoration, and habitat enhancement projects across Minnesota.

• Funds distributed across five primary categories: Prairies ($38,303,000), Forests ($17,032,000), Wetlands ($20,753,000), Habitats ($50,497,000), and Administration ($920,000 and $565,000).

• Includes specific projects such as wildlife management area acquisitions, native prairie protection, forest land conservation easements, waterfowl production area development, and fish passage restoration on multiple rivers.

• Establishes requirements for accomplishment plans, reimbursement procedures, monitoring and enforcement funds, and geographic mapping of acquired lands open to public hunting and fishing.

• Modifies appropriations from previous legacy fund laws (2015, 2017) by extending availability deadlines for certain projects and reallocating remaining funds for continued conservation work through 2024-2025.
