Allows minors at least 16 years old to be employed to operate lawn care equipment, including lawn trimmers, weed cutters, pedestrian-controlled mowers, and ride-on mowers meeting ANSI/OPEI B71.1 2017 safety specifications.

Requires 16 and 17 year old operators to receive training on safe operation of each equipment type and wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, safety vest, and work boots.

Employers must ensure operators follow all safety rules and instructions in equipment manuals, prohibit operation on slopes greater than recommended, and maintain required safety features including roll-over protection, seat belts, operator presence control systems, interlocks, guards, and shields.

Limits employment exception to minors directly employed by golf courses, resorts, municipalities for lawn care on their grounds, or directly employed by rental property owners for lawn care on rental properties.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
