SF2227 - Omnibus State Government Appropriations

• Appropriates $85.3-85.9 million for the legislature, including $35.3 million for the Senate and $32.4 million for the House of Representatives for fiscal years 2020-2021.

• Appropriates funds for state executive branch agencies including the Governor's office ($3.6 million), State Auditor ($9.6 million), Attorney General ($24-24.4 million), and Secretary of State ($19.3-6.3 million).

• Provides $12.7-7.8 million for Office of MN.IT Services including $12.7-7.8 million for cybersecurity enhancements across state government.

• Establishes new observances including POW/MIA Recognition Day (third Friday in September), Veterans Suicide Awareness Day (first Saturday in October), Hmong Special Guerrilla Units Memorial Day (May 14), and American Allies Day (June 30).

• Makes various statutory changes including modifications to racing commission regulations, gambling control board rules, certified public accountant licensing requirements, and repeals state aid to PERA General for MERF division.
