Appropriates $7,764.70 from the general fund to the commissioner of corrections in fiscal year 2020 for settlement of claims against the state under Minnesota Statutes sections 3.738 and 3.739.

Allocates $5,889.70 for sentence-to-service and community work service claims under $7,000 and other claims already paid by the department.

Allocates $1,875 to Ricky Ritchie for permanent injuries to his left little finger sustained while performing assigned duties at Minnesota Correctional Facility - Rush City.

Covers claims for losses suffered while incarcerated in state correctional facilities and injuries to persons performing community service or sentence-to-service work for correctional purposes.

Appropriation is available until June 30, 2020.
