Removes the July 1, 2019 start date for the Minnesota Board on Aging's self-directed caregiver grants program, making the program ongoing without a specific effective date.

Eliminates the requirement that the board give priority to consumers referred under section 256.975, subdivision 7, paragraph (d).

Requires the board to submit progress reports on the self-directed caregiver grants program by January 15, 2022, and each January 15 thereafter to relevant senate and house committees.

Progress reports must include metrics on the use of the grant program.

Maintains the board's consultation with area agencies on aging and community caregiver stakeholders in administering grants to support at-risk family caregivers of older adults.
