S.F. No. 328 - Hospital Construction Moratorium Exception

• Amends Minnesota Statutes section 144.551, subdivision 1, to modify exceptions to the hospital construction or modification moratorium.

• Removes language restricting a Carver County hospital project to 20 rehabilitation beds and eliminates the prohibition on medical assistance or MinnesotaCare reimbursement for those beds.

• Expands the existing moratorium exception for Carver County to allow an existing hospital in the county to add beds for rehabilitation services without the previous restrictions on patient eligibility for state reimbursement.

• Referred to the Senate Health and Human Services Finance and Policy Committee on January 22, 2019.
