Amends Minnesota Statutes section 126C.44 to expand the allowed uses of the safe schools levy, which has a maximum of $36 per adjusted pupil unit.

Adds vapor detection devices as an allowable expense, allowing school districts to purchase, install, and maintain devices that detect vapor.

Retains existing safe schools levy uses including peace officer salaries, drug abuse prevention, gang resistance training, facility security, mental health professionals, and school climate improvements.

Effective July 1, 2020.
