• When the multidisciplinary team disagrees on screening decisions, a supervisor makes the final determination regarding whether to screen in a report.

• A multidisciplinary team including at least two local welfare agency staff members must review reports and determine whether to conduct a family assessment or investigation, with supervisor final determination if team disagrees.

• Agencies must consider all previous maltreatment history, including screened-out reports, when evaluating new reports.

• Both sections become effective September 1, 2020.
