Amends Minnesota Statutes section 126C.44 to expand the allowable uses of the safe schools levy, which can be levied up to $36 per adjusted pupil unit.

Adds clause (10) to authorize levy funds for costs associated with threat assessment policies that are not covered under the existing nine categories of allowable uses.

Maintains existing allowable uses including peace officer salaries and benefits, drug abuse prevention, gang resistance education, school security, mental health professionals, and facility security enhancements.

Requires school districts to initially attempt contracting with local police departments or county sheriff's departments before contracting with other law enforcement agencies.

Permits intermediate school districts that are members of regional education cooperatives to levy up to an additional $15 per adjusted pupil unit for safe schools activities.
