Appropriates $550,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the Public Facilities Authority for a grant to the East Itasca Joint Sewer Board for preliminary and final engineering of a regional wastewater treatment system located in Nashwauk.

The wastewater treatment system will serve Keewatin, Nashwauk, Lone Pine Township, Greenway Township, and other communities represented by the joint powers authority.

Funds are available only when the commissioner of management and budget determines that sufficient resources have been committed from other state or nonstate sources to complete the project.

Authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to $550,000 to provide the appropriated funds, following Minnesota Statutes sections 16A.631 to 16A.675 and Minnesota Constitution article XI, sections 4 to 7.

Effective the day following final enactment.
