Appropriates $250,000 in fiscal year 2021 and $250,000 in fiscal year 2022 from the general fund to the Department of Administration, Office of Grant Management for building modifications.

Office of Grant Management, in consultation with the Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities, shall award grants to state organizations, counties, cities, and private holders of public access space for sensory accessibility accommodations.

Grants may be used to create sensory-friendly spaces, modify public spaces to meet sensory-friendly design standards, equip facilities with mobile tool kits for sensory needs, or provide quiet zones or service times for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, related disabilities, or other nonvisible health issues with sensory impacts.

Grantees must complete disability training to equip staff with skills necessary to successfully implement the building modifications.

Commissioner must report to legislative committees with jurisdiction over health and public safety policy by February 15, 2024 on how funds were spent and results achieved.
