Increases Office of Justice Programs appropriation from $39,580,000 to $40,036,000 by amending Laws 2017, chapter 95, article 1, section 11, subdivision 7.

Authorizes the Metropolitan Airports Commission and local units of government to receive reimbursement grants for pathway to policing programs that recruit persons with nontraditional backgrounds into law enforcement.

Allocates $400,000 in the second year for reimbursement grants, with applicants eligible to receive up to 50 percent of compensation and training costs for pathway to policing participants.

Reimbursement grants shall be proportionally allocated based on the number of grant applications approved by the commissioner.

Effective the day following final enactment.
