Appropriates $1,020,000 from bond proceeds to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the city of Eveleth for municipal building renovations.

Funds improvements to city hall/police station, Carnegie library, fire/ambulance hall, Hippodrome ice arena, and city auditorium including HVAC systems, roof replacement, carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide detection systems, exterior masonry restoration, and public restroom renovation.

Appropriation is contingent upon the commissioner of management and budget determining that at least an equal amount ($1,020,000) has been committed from nonstate sources to complete the project.

Authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to $1,020,000 to fund the appropriation according to Minnesota Statutes sections 16A.631 to 16A.675 and the Minnesota Constitution article XI, sections 4 to 7.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
