Prohibits the Minnesota Department of Human Services commissioner from employing any person who serves on the board of an organization receiving at least 25 percent of its funding from the department.

Extends the prohibition to employees whose immediate family members serve on boards of such department-funded organizations, with "immediate family member" defined per Minnesota Statutes section 268.035, subdivision 19a.

Allows employees found in violation 30 days from the date the commissioner becomes aware of the violation to correct the violation.

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 256.01, by adding subdivision 42.

Introduced March 9, 2020, and referred to the Health and Human Services Finance and Policy committee.
