Amends Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 147D.03, subdivision 2 to clarify the scope of practice for licensed traditional midwives.

Adds authority for traditional midwives to order ultrasounds, provide point-of-care testing, and order laboratory tests that conform to standard prenatal protocol.

Explicitly permits ordering of standard prenatal laboratory tests and imaging as part of comprehensive prenatal care coordination with licensed health care providers.

Maintains existing midwifery practices including prenatal education, labor and birth support, postpartum care, and referrals to community resources.
