$3,800,000 appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2021 to the Public Facilities Authority for grants to repair and replace lift station control panels and pay off previously incurred debt for the Garrison, Kathio, West Mille Lacs Lake Sanitary Sewer District, with no nonstate match required.

$500,000 appropriated from bond proceeds fund to the Public Facilities Authority for grants to acquire and install permanent generators to power lift stations around Mille Lacs Lake.

Commissioner of management and budget authorized to sell and issue state bonds up to $500,000 to provide funding for the generator acquisition and installation project.

Appropriation from general fund is onetime and available until project completion or abandonment, subject to Minnesota Statutes section 16A.642.

Section becomes effective the day following final enactment.
