Appropriates $6,500,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of transportation as a grant to the city of Chaska for local road improvements.

Funds reconstruction of marked Trunk Highway 41 and Carver County State-Aid Highway 61 in downtown Chaska.

Grant is part of a larger project with an overall estimated cost of $23,600,000 and becomes available only after sufficient funding from other sources is committed.

Authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to $6,500,000 to provide the appropriated funds, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes sections 16A.631 to 16A.675 and Minnesota Constitution article XI, sections 4 to 7.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
