Amends Minnesota Statutes section 126C.40, subdivision 1, to expand lease levy authority for school districts that are members of cooperative units, intermediate school districts, or joint powers districts.

Allows member districts to include costs associated with leases of administrative and classroom space for cooperative unit programs, with authority not to exceed $65 times the adjusted pupil units of member districts.

Permits the cooperative unit or joint powers district to designate which member districts will levy for lease costs under this expanded authority.

Allows districts to levy for deferred maintenance expenditures for district-owned buildings or sites leased to cooperative units or joint powers districts for instructional purposes or school storage.

Effective for revenue in fiscal year 2021 and later.
