Requests Congress and the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security extend the REAL ID Act implementation deadline by at least one calendar year due to COVID-19 pandemic impacts on Minnesota's ability to process applications.

Advises federal authorities to update acceptable identity verification documents to include those accepted by the Transportation Security Administration for airport security.

Recommends launching a nationwide public awareness campaign, creating exemptions for older applicants and already-vetted populations, and allowing REAL ID reciprocity between states.

Proposes allowing states to accept electronic document verification through federal and state systems instead of requiring in-person presentation of paper documents and permitting use of federal trusted traveler program information such as TSA PreCheck and Global Entry.

Directs Minnesota's Secretary of State to transmit copies of this resolution to the President, Congress, and the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security.
