Prohibits sitting Minnesota legislature members from accepting employment or compensation from businesses whose primary activities involve lobbying, government relations, government affairs, or public policy advocacy or consulting.

Prohibition applies regardless of where the business conducts its work or locates its clients.

Requires the House of Representatives and Senate to adopt rules consistent with the prohibition.

Creates new statute Minnesota Statutes, chapter 3.084.
