Committee on Rules and Administration may assign matters to standing committees and subcommittees for study and investigation during the interim between the 91st Legislature (2020) and 92nd Legislature (2021) sessions.

Subcommittee on Committees shall fill vacancies in committees, commissions, and bodies appointed by the Senate, and may appoint Senate members to assist committee work.

Committee on Rules and Administration establishes positions, compensation, benefits, and authorizes employee appointments and expense reimbursement for Senate operations during the interim.

Secretary of the Senate continues duties during interim at 2020 regular session rates, corrects Senate Journal, authorizes employee hiring, and manages Senate supplies, contracts, and facility use.

Contracts exceeding $10,000 require approval from the Chair of the Committee on Rules and Administration and one additional designated member.
