Amends Minnesota Statutes section 13.43, subdivision 2, to clarify what data constitutes the "status" of a complaint or charge against a peace officer.

Defines the status of a complaint or charge against a peace officer to include suspension with pay, suspension without pay, placement on administrative leave, or termination or separation from employment with a right to appeal or elect arbitration.

Makes this clarification effective the day following final enactment and applies retroactively to personnel data on current and former peace officers created on or after January 1, 2020.

Establishes that this status information is public data subject to existing data disclosure rules and limitations in Minnesota's data practices law.
